Welcome to ATA Counselling

Welcome

Support for Children, Young People, and Adults in Bradford and Online

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn? You’re not alone and you don’t have to face things on your own.

At ATA Counselling, I offer a safe, supportive space where you or your child can talk, feel, explore, and begin to heal at your own pace, in your own way.

I specialise in working with bereavement and neurodivergence, offering therapy that recognises how loss and difference can shape our experience of the world. Whether you're
navigating grief, ADHD, autism, anxiety or emotional overload, I'm here to support you with care and understanding.

Short About Me

A Little About Me
I’m Arfeen Afsar, a qualified counsellor based in Bradford and the founder of ATA
Counselling.

I grew up with undiagnosed ADHD, feeling different, misunderstood, and often
overwhelmed. Therapy gave me the space I never knew I needed, a space where I was
seen, heard, and finally able to make sense of things. That experience changed my life and
it’s what led me here.
Now I offer that same space to others. Whether you're an adult carrying silent grief, a
neurodivergent young person struggling to cope, or a parent worried about your child  I
will meet you with warmth, patience and respect.
